When you level up, make the best decisions you can. We suggest Void Terrarium 2’s passive skills.
In Void Terrarium 2, a new Robbie is made for every run through the wasteland. With the exception of trade bonus stats, you’ll start over at level one and learn new passive skills with each new level. This is one of the things that sets VT2 apart and makes it clear that it is a roguelike game.
At each Level-Up, you have to choose between two idle skills. This makes making decisions very important. For example, is it better to learn an attack skill now or to get a defense boost when your HP is low? Every player must make a choice based on how they want to play. As for us, we tend to choose these skills whenever we have the chance.
Stabby Power 1
- Rank: 🟩⬛⬛⬛⬛(1/5)
- Effect:Â Increase the damage bonus for critical hits by 20%.
Why We Love Stabby Power 1
When attacking buffs come early, they always make low-level play easier. Because of this, we always start with Stabby Power 1. After all, more baddies getting knocked out means your level goes up, which means you get more cool passive skills.
Endurance 1
- Rank: 🟩⬛⬛⬛⬛(1/5)
- Effect:Â When your HP is below 50%, your DEF will go up by 20%.
Why We Love Endurance 1
When Robbie’s HP and DEF are low at the start of a journey, that is when he is most likely to get hurt. So, it’s important to use a skill like Endurance 1 early on in this trip. Then, later in your run, you can focus on getting the big skills.
Bag Augment 2
- Rank: 🟩🟩⬛⬛⬛(2/5)
- Effect:Â Add 3 items to the stock.
Why We Love Bag Augment 2
When we go on an adventure with Robbie, we never have enough room for our stuff. So, every time we see something else that looks interesting, we have to make a hard choice. After all, we need to figure out what we should give up, what we should keep, and what we can use now to make more room. It wears you out. So, more space for stock is always a good thing. There is also a Bag Augment 1. But we think Bag Augment 2’s three-space reward is better.
Second Wind
- Rank: 🟩🟩⬛⬛⬛(2/5)
- Effect:Â When your HP is at or below 50%, the HP you get back each turn will be a lot more.
Why We Love Second Wind
VT2 is, in a word, a game of patience. Even if you have the best weapons, one too many enemy hits can end your run. Robbie has a fighting chance thanks to good passive skills like “Second Wind.” Also, faster HP regeneration will save EN over time.
Weapon Force
- Rank: 🟩🟩🟩⬛⬛(3/5)
- Effect:Â For each weapon in your collection, your ATK will go up by 1.
Why We Love Weapon Force
If you haven’t noticed, we at TG like to save things. And in VT2, keeping things you don’t need can be a strength or a weakness, based on how and when you use them. Also, since there were so many guns, we often switched them around to get the best ATK stats and active skills. Weapon Force gives us more attacking buffs to make up for how much we stockpile weapons.
Shield Force
- Rank: 🟩🟩🟩⬛⬛(3/5)
- Effect:Â For every shield you have in your collection, DEF goes up by 1.
Why We Love Shield Force
Shield Force is the same as Weapon Force, except it applies to shields. So, if you like to keep shield things for too long and need a defensive boost, this passive skill is exactly what you need.
Hedge-Havoc
- Rank: 🟩🟩🟩⬛⬛(3/5)
- Effect:Â Deal up to 50% of the damage you took back to the person or thing that hurt you. When there are more enemies in a room, more damage is done.
Why We Love Hedge-Havoc
Imagine if every time someone touched you, they got a slap in the face. That’s why Headge-Havoc is so great! We love this skill because it makes it fair between you and your enemies by giving you back half of the damage you take. Also, since the affects of Hedge-Havoc get stronger the more enemies are in a room, it is the best skill to have when going into a monster house.
Cornered Rat
- Rank: 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬛(4/5)
- Effect:Â When HP is less than 25%, end cooldowns for current skills.
Why We Love Cornered Rat
In tough fights, active skills like Lance, Block, and Pull can save your life. But the time between uses makes these skills less effective than they could be. When your health is very low, Cornered Rat gets rid of this rest time, so you can relieve enemy pressure. The only catch is that using all of these skills will use up your EN. So make sure you have a plan for getting better.
Free Throw
- Rank: 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬛(4/5)
- Effect:Â You can throw things on any tile. Six tiles is the most you can throw.
Why We Love Free Throw
In VT2, ranged guns are important because they can kill enemies before they can get close to you. But it’s a pain to get in front of an enemy to use a Grenade or Smoke Bomb. And if your opponent goes out of range during their turn, your move was for nothing. So, we love Free Throw because it lets us throw in any direction, even if it’s only over a small area of six tiles.
Bit 2
- Rank: 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩(5/5)
- Effect:Â Every turn, deal damage to foes within a 1-tile radius.
Why We Love Bit 2
In Vampire Survivors, Bit 2 is the same as skills like “Garlic.” It’s a skill that punishes any enemy who comes near you, and it’s both useful and fun to use. Bit 2 is a great passive skill for high-level Spacebar Clicker players that works best in high-pressure settings like monster houses or boss fights. If you learn this skill, don’t give it to anyone else!
